This Privacy Policy and Disclaimer ("Policy") governs your use of the SmartPillTracker mobile application ("App"), the SmartPillTracker hardware device ("Device"), and the website at smartpilltracker.com (collectively, "the Service"), operated by SmartPillTracker ("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading the App, registering an account, or using the Device, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
SmartPillTracker is a consumer electronics product designed for personal convenience only. It has not been approved, cleared, or certified by any health authority including but not limited to the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), CE (European Conformity), or any equivalent regulatory body.
Nothing in the App, on the Device, or on our website constitutes medical advice. Information provided (dose times, stock counts, history logs) is for informational and organizational purposes only. Always follow the instructions of your licensed healthcare provider.
The Service may fail to function correctly under the following non-exhaustive conditions:
We strongly advise users and caregivers not to rely exclusively on SmartPillTracker for the management of medications where a missed or double dose could result in serious health consequences. This includes but is not limited to: blood thinners, insulin, cardiac medications, epilepsy drugs, or any narrow-therapeutic-index medication.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SmartPillTracker and its developers, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:
When you register, we collect your full name and email address. We do not collect your date of birth, address, phone number, or payment information.
We store the information you enter about your medications: pill slot names, stock counts, dose schedules, and low-stock thresholds. This data is associated with your account and stored on our servers.
When the Device detects that a pill has been removed from a slot, the Device sends a timestamped event to our servers. This event is logged in your pill history.
We store the hardware ID (MAC address) of your SmartPillTracker device, used solely to associate the device with your account.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third party under any circumstances.
Your data is stored on a secured server located in the European Union. All communication between the App, Device, and server is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using the platform's secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Secure Enclave).
While we implement industry-standard security measures, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data against unauthorized access, cyberattacks, or data breaches beyond our control. In the event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from the App settings, all data associated with your account — including medication configurations, pill history, and device records — is permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party. Your medication data is accessible only through your own authenticated account.
The only exception is compliance with a valid legal obligation (e.g., court order or statutory requirement), in which case we will notify you to the extent permitted by law.

SmartPillTracker is not directed at or intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a child has registered an account, please contact us.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information provided by the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SmartPillTracker, its developers, officers, or affiliates be liable for any damages whatsoever, including but not limited to: loss of data, personal injury, death, financial loss, or any indirect or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We reserve the right to update this Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For significant changes, we will notify registered users via email where possible. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Turkey.
